The Skyhawks
have performed at international events that
include professional
sporting events, business grand openings,
rodeos, festivals, and charity events.
All the members of the
team are professionally rated by the United
States Parachute Association. This PRO
rating is awarded by the U.S.P.A. only
to skydivers who can master the most difficult
aspects of the sport. The Skyhawks
are all skydiving instructors who also
compete and work in the skydiving industry.
They train at various skydiving centers
in the state. With over 150
years of combined experience and 30,000
jumps,
the Arizona Skyhawks thrill their audiences
with their creativity and precision.. Their
specialty is lighted night jumps.
The team captain, Tom
Talbott, is a native of Arizona
and former officer of the Green Beret Parachute
Team in Ft. Bragg, NC. He has logged
over 10,000 skydives. Tom has been in the
skydiving industry for over 18 years and
has owned and operated two drop zones,
including one in the Bahamas. The
other members of the team are all former
military soldiers serving in a variety
of airborne and special operation assignments.
They each hold several skydiving instructional
ratings and the difficult to achieve PRO
rating. All of the members work and teach
in the skydiving industry. Every member
of the team is certified by the USPA. See
USPA.org for details on the PRO rating
and local location to learn to skydive.
The Team is capable to
jump into just about any location. A landing
area free of obstacles and about the size
of a volley ball court is all that we require
for a landing area. We
can and have jumped into lakes, pools, parties,
sporting events grand openings, special events
at hotels and all of the large sporting venues
in the state.
Night demonstration
skydives,
a specialty of the Arizona Skyhawks, can
add a new level of excitment to your next
gathering.
These jumps are normally
done from a altitude of 5,000 feet. We are
highly visible due to our specially lighted
jumpsuits. We use a lighted target in the
landing area which draws people to the landing
site. While the jumps can be made either
with or without the pyrotechnics, The firework
displays do add a greater visual excitement
to your night-time event.
